Snail Love - Part 2 (Week 21)

This week is special. 

I know I talk about the boy snail a lot during five things I heart...but it's just cause I heart him so much, so you'll have to deal with me.

Most of you remember part 1... 

...but today is a special day...so I decided to bring back our two favorite snails for part 2! I hope you don't mind not knowing about anything else I hearted this week...cause this boy just overtook everything else.

Week 20

Autumn Addition! It's like a special addition but better!

1) Carving pumpkins...especially pumpkins with a certain resemblance to other things I love

2) Missouri State Campus with red, yellow, and orange everywhere

3) Happy Hobbit Music 

(Celtic music always reminds me of fall cause my family and I go to Irish festivals during the fall)

4) Pumpkin patches with friends

5) Long walks in the park with other friends 

(and of course playing on random giant wheelchairs)

Week 11

1) What says Happy Late Birfday more than an awkward over-sized hedgehog named Hubert?

5) Gasp! Look familiar? The boy snail might have gotten me a St-Patty's-Day-but-really-just-cause-he-loves-me-gift. Yeah I know. You wish you had one too (the boy snail and the necklace snail). 

I just can't stop looking at it. So cute!

So...

...I am shrinking away from the dirty glares I'm sure all of you are giving me for abandoning my blog for almost 3 weeks!

Gah! 

If I was to offer you an excuse (which of course would not make up for my abandoning of Neverland) I would say:

I went on vacation

I have been skyping a lot!

I have been sleeping 

I have been reading a god forsaken awful book (not really, but it was 842 pages long. Feel very sorry for me)

And I have been falling in love

Whew. Yeah, no excuse. But in order to make it up to you..

...here is a little story I've been working on kinda all afternoon. It's a really special story, inspired by a really special blog post by a really special friend.

Week 10

1) Hanson! I never thought they would make it on here, but I have to say...this music video makes me dance around in my room with my knee socks on.

2) This amazing Etsy shop! Do want this necklace! Cause if you remember, I kinda sorta have a little love obsession with snails. 

3) Slurpees! I used to get these as high school student. They made me feel cool (haha, get it, cause they are cold too?). In Virginia Beach there is a 7-11 on every corner! Happiness!

4) Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World!

Shh...pretend I didn't talk about this movie already. Cause we re-watched it today, and it pretty much made my whole life happy.

5) Um...so I have something to tell you guys....

...see this boy? Yeah...^ that one. He' kind sorta maybe possibly my boyfriend. 

And I maybe sorta kinda heart him this week (and for many weeks to come)

Just fyi, I'm smiling a lot these days.

Day 27: a song you wish you could play

I've always loved this song, but lately I've loved it a little more. Sadly, I don't have four extra people around to harmonize with me.

I have a new little love that has been peaking it's head out from behind the bushes and waving at my heart, trying to get it's attention for some time now. 

It's snails. 

It started with this.

Then I found myself doodling them all over my school notes. 

Then the hippie and I hid one on our website. 

Now it's taken over into a full love obsession. Oh how I love love obsessions.

Why? I'm not sure. Perhaps because of the lyrics of the song. 

Perhaps because I admire their boldness to spread slime all over the world. 

Perhaps because they can live in pretty much any environment (depending on the snail you're talkin' about) including land, sea, desert. 

Perhaps it's that they carry their home with them, something I hope to do one day.

How frustrated would I have been if I asked this spiritual being that had just come and lite a bush on fire in front of me what his name was and he replied, "I AM."

Rob Bell talks about many interpreting this as I am pure energy, I am existence, I am everything that there was, is, and will be.

Or I am present. I am here, I am somewhere else. I am simple is.
