Memory 11

First of all, please let me apologize for the lack of posts. It's all I can do to keep up with my series posts.

But I promise once summer hits you'll get sick of me. Plus the boy snail will be here so I'll have fun stories I'm sure.

Parker (from the daycare) has a very special necklace she likes to show me.

It's a sparkly letter P, "for Parker, cause my name starts with P!"

She showed me every morning for a week when she walked in.

I remember those special necklaces. They made me feel like such a grown up. The first one I got was from my parents on the day I was baptized. It's a golden cross. I still have it.

It made me feel so important to have "grown up jewelry." I think Parker feels the same way.

What about you? Do you have any special grown up jewelry from when you were little?

Speaking of jewelry...can you just drool over this etsy shop with me please? Gah!

The boy snail promised to get me the long distance love necklace. What a sweet one he is.

It's a Joshua Radin kinda day.

Silence

Realizing how hard it is to communicate without talking gives me a new appreciation for those that have no choice. Because at the end of the day, I get to talk again. There are some that don't.

Part of the way I communicate is through this blog. So today, instead of telling you about myself and the things I love and rambling on about my life.

I'm staying silent by choice for those that don't have one.

Go check out Invisible Children for more details, including a live feed all day.

Memory 10

Sunday is soon.

And it's Easter.

With bunnies...

...and chocolate...

....oh come on, you guys know where this is going...

Easter Egg Hunts!

Epic were they not?

I remember, every year mom would let me buy a brand new dress that was bright and fun. And we would hide eggs everywhere. My brothers used to purposefully hide them where they knew I couldn't find them.

I think one time my dad found an egg four months later in the yard.

Please, for me. Put on a twirly skirt.

Paint your fingernails lime green.

And enjoy Easter, family, and Jesus.

P.S. - Cheers for Narnia nights with the hippie!

Week 13

1) I have been dreaming of swinging all week (with no such luck) and this print from this etsy shop just makes the itch worse.

2) Teehee. Disney songs make me feel 5 in a good way.

3) Speaking of Disney. You have no idea how much I love this! I jumped up and down when I saw it! Recreation of the movie UP!

full article here (with more pictures)
I might have almost cried when I saw this...just saying.

4) The boy snail...might have possibly...bought me tickets...To Mumford and Sons...AND...Cake! Craziness! Best. boy. ever.

I might possibly sing along with this at the top of my lungs while driving...just saying.

And to top matters off...the hippie and her boy (also known as Topher my best friend) are coming too! Really, seriously guys...best. boy. ever.

5) Inspiration

Happy Monday! Don't get too blue!

Memory 9

See this is why I love my life.

I just asked my new friend Ceisha, "I need something to write about, what makes you nostalgic."

Her answer...

...the zoo.

Which is weird, because at the daycare last week the kids took a trip to the farm. Which in turn reminded me of an epic trip to the zoo with my beautiful group of friends, CHEMM (Cadie, Hannah, Emily, Maci, and Moree...we're weird. we know)

There were rhinos. Moneys. A lion. A giraffee with an obnoxiously long tongue.

Zoos are epic even still. But do you remember those amazing gift shops? The stuffed animals you just had to have.

Or the bird show with the parrot that could talk.

Or your mom telling you that flamingos were pink cause they ate shrimp and your mind being blown.

Or maybe the little villages they set up so you could see how the people in Africa lived? No? Just me? Well that's ok. Not everyone can have a secret love obsession (but not so secret) with a whole continent.

Zoos make me happy. End of story.
