Draping...but not for my wedding

In this midst of the craziness that is planning a wedding and work...

...I have found time for cake baking. 

Spice cake with cream cheese frosting. Experimenting with a draping technique I saw on Cake Boss (don't judge).

Week 24

1) Cake Decorating

Seriously, I'm addicted to Cake Boss, Next Great Baker, Cake Wars, Ace of Cakes, and Amazing Wedding Cakes.

P.S. - Valli, who I'm living with right now, used to be a cake decorator. My present this year for my birthday is a custom made cake by Valli, that I get to help with to learn! What!

Next Great Baker here I come. Or maybe more like Next Just-Learning Baker. 

2) Tulle.

3) This incredible cover of Fix You by Coldplay done by my soon-to-be-sister and her friend. 

I can't believe how soothing her voice is. I've listened to this like 14 times already.

Week 13

 

1) I have been dreaming of swinging all week (with no such luck) and this print from this etsy shop just makes the itch worse.

2) Teehee. Disney songs make me feel 5 in a good way. 

3) Speaking of Disney. You have no idea how much I love this! I jumped up and down when I saw it! Recreation of the movie UP!

I might have almost cried when I saw this...just saying. 

4) The boy snail...might have possibly...bought me tickets...To Mumford and Sons...AND...Cake! Craziness! Best. boy. ever.

I might possibly sing along with this at the top of my lungs while driving...just saying. 

And to top matters off...the hippie and her boy (also known as Topher my best friend) are coming too! Really, seriously guys...best. boy. ever.
